These Terms of Service govern access to and use of ChangeSentry. The service is operated by ParamountTD LLC, doing business as ChangeSentry. Formal notices should be sent to P.O Box 123, Phoenix AZ, 85001.
1. The service
ChangeSentry provides website change monitoring, diff history, alerts, integrations, and related tools. The service is designed for monitoring public webpages you are authorized to monitor. We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, the age of majority where you live, or an authorized representative of a business or organization with authority to accept these Terms. You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for actions taken through your account and for users you invite or authorize. You may not use ChangeSentry if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or sanctions rules.
3. Responsible monitoring
You are responsible for choosing the URLs you monitor and confirming that your use complies with applicable law, website terms, robots.txt expectations, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual duties, and permissions required for the content. Do not monitor pages that contain secrets, private personal data, protected health data, payment data, credentials, confidential third-party content, or other sensitive information unless you have a lawful basis and authority to do so.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use ChangeSentry to attack, overload, bypass, scrape at abusive scale, or interfere with websites or systems.
- Do not attempt to defeat CAPTCHAs, authentication, access controls, paywalls, rate limits, robots.txt rules, or anti-abuse systems.
- Do not submit illegal, infringing, harmful, deceptive, harassing, or unauthorized content.
- Do not reverse engineer, resell, benchmark for publication without permission, or use the service to build a competing product except where prohibited by law.
- Do not use the service for surveillance, discrimination, unlawful profiling, spam, credential theft, or security testing without written authorization.
5. Third-party content and websites
Webpages, trademarks, screenshots, product names, text, images, and other monitored materials belong to their respective owners. ChangeSentry does not grant rights to reuse third-party content outside your monitoring workflow. Third-party websites may change, block, personalize, remove, or restrict content at any time.
If you believe content available through ChangeSentry infringes your copyright or other rights, contact legal@changesentry.com with enough detail for us to identify the material, your rights, and the requested action. For US DMCA notices, include the information required by 17 U.S.C. 512, including your signature, contact information, good-faith statement, and statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
6. Monitoring limits and reliability
Monitoring is best-effort. Some pages may fail or produce noisy results because of robots.txt, network errors, JavaScript behavior, personalization, geo-specific content, anti-bot tools, authentication, CAPTCHAs, blocked IP ranges, redirects, DOM changes, or selector drift. We may pause, reject, throttle, or remove monitors that create legal, security, abuse, privacy, platform, or reliability risk.
7. AI output
AI summaries, classifications, and suggested interpretations are automated assistance, not legal, financial, compliance, operational, or professional advice. AI features may send URLs, labels, page titles, user intent, diff summaries, and before-and-after excerpts to configured AI providers such as OpenRouter, Anthropic, or OpenAI. You are responsible for reviewing important changes before relying on them and for avoiding sensitive, regulated, secret, or unauthorized content unless you have authority and have reviewed the applicable vendor terms.
8. Plans, billing, and taxes
Plan limits, prices, included features, check intervals, retention, and support levels are described on the pricing page, checkout page, or in an order form. Paid subscriptions renew until canceled. Unless stated otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not automatically refund prior fees. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or stated in writing. Promotional credits, trials, discounts, upgrades, downgrades, and plan changes may be subject to additional terms shown at checkout or in-product. You are responsible for taxes, payment details, and keeping billing information current. Failed payments may result in grace periods, downgrades, paused monitors, collection activity, or account suspension.
9. Customer data and privacy
You retain rights to the data you submit to ChangeSentry. You grant us the rights needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, including crawling configured URLs, processing extracted content, generating diffs, sending notifications, and storing history according to the product settings. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement. Business customers that need a DPA may review the DPA overview.
10. Security
You must use the service securely and keep credentials confidential. We may investigate suspicious activity and take protective action. If you believe you found a vulnerability, report it to security@changesentry.com and avoid testing that could access data, disrupt service, degrade third-party websites, bypass third-party controls, send spam, or harm users. See the Security page for coordinated disclosure guidance.
11. Intellectual property
ChangeSentry, including its software, design, documentation, brand, and product features, is owned by ChangeSentry or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you. Feedback may be used without restriction or obligation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service or cancel a paid plan according to product settings. Account deletion may include a 30-day recovery window, and some records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk, fail to pay, misuse the service, or if continued access would expose ChangeSentry, users, or third parties to legal, security, abuse, or operational harm. Some provisions survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, privacy, and dispute terms.
13. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every change will be detected, that every notification will arrive, that third-party websites will remain accessible, or that AI output will be accurate. You are responsible for independent review before taking important action.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChangeSentry will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or missed opportunities. Any aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you used only a free plan, unless a higher amount is required by law.
15. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify ChangeSentry from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your monitored URLs, customer data, misuse of the service, violation of law, violation of third-party rights, or breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by ChangeSentry's own unlawful conduct.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to the service are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless a different process is required by applicable law or agreed in a signed order form, the state and federal courts located in Arizona will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue. Before filing a claim, each party will try to resolve the dispute informally by giving written notice and allowing a reasonable period for discussion, except where urgent injunctive or equitable relief is needed.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product, law, or business changes. Material updates may be announced by email, in-product notice, or another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Force majeure
ChangeSentry is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, power failures, third-party infrastructure failures, labor disputes, pandemics, or other events outside ChangeSentry's direct control. During a force majeure event, ChangeSentry's obligations are suspended to the extent affected and for as long as the event continues.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, any signed order form, and any applicable data processing agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChangeSentry regarding the service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, or agreements relating to the same subject matter.
21. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without ChangeSentry's prior written consent. ChangeSentry may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, corporate reorganization, or by operation of law, without requiring your consent. Any purported assignment in violation of this section is void.
22. Class action waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any claim or dispute against ChangeSentry must be brought on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action. You waive any right to have disputes heard or resolved as a class action, collective action, private attorney general action, or any other proceeding where someone acts in a representative capacity.
23. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@changesentry.com or through the contact page. Formal notices should be sent to ParamountTD LLC, P.O Box 123, Phoenix AZ, 85001.
